Signal Festival. Beyond the Limits explores the boundaries of habitual perception. We invite you to step beyond physical reality and explore the transitional state between "I am matter" and "I am energy."
This is a waiting room. Bardo, purgatory, limbo — it doesn't matter. The walls are transformed into curved mirrors. A person sees themselves in dozens of distorted silhouettes — none of which resembles their true self. The familiar "I" disappears, giving way to a multitude of altered copies.
Thick fog on the floor and floating luminous spheres erase the boundaries of the space. On several spheres are projections of family portraits. The faces of strangers gaze at the viewer. In this space, they become not "others," but "everyone" — those who have already crossed over, or their memories.
In the center stands a huge mirrored cube. It touches the wall at an angle, breaking the vanishing point. The cube is the only tangible form, embodying physical reality. Orange light from within invites you to enter a space filled with sand. Here, sand is the tangible present. Caustic patterns flow across the sand, as if time itself. Here, there is no fear. It feels like what was before birth and will be after — warm, dark, with light pulsing somewhere.
The exit from the cube leads to a bright corridor — a transition to another form of embodiment. The space is flooded with brilliant white light, with caustic water ripples on the floor. No fog, no sand, no boundaries. Only light and sound — the pulse of existence. And here, a person understands: they are that light. Not the body, not the form, not the reflection. The light they were before birth and will remain after.
